(We don't, but we feed birds, plus we've got an energetic mulberry tree right outside the back deck, and rats seem to love mulberries.) Gypsy tried to get a rat who was hanging around reminiscing about the good old days, when generations of his forebears had carved out the empire they knew in our shed. She failed spectacularly to catch it. Also: no outdoor cats, as per covenant. Lots of hawks and rat snakes hang around, but they don't make much of a dent in the population.
